Big Data Ecosystem Deployment

Deployment of a Regulatory Framework covering multiple business lines at the Bank to service Regulatory initiative MIFID II. Project involved developing Functional and Technical Architectures for the initiative. Along with resource planning and delivery management of the Project. Leveraging Agile Development methodologies and SDLC principles to develop a Big Data based Framework.

Technical Deployment covered Hadoop Layers, In-Memory Caches, Cassandra and Spring Framework, for facilitating Front to Back Pipelines, using Kafka, Spark and Java for Regulatory calculations and Reporting and Visualization leveraging Kyvos and Tableau.

Human Capital for the project involved 110 Personnel over the project lifecycle across North America, Europe and South Asia.

Complete Architectural Review of the Strategic Central Infrastructure for Risk, P&L and Post Trade system. A high-level assessment designed to evaluate the architecture, technology, practices and procedures related to the performance, stability and optimization of the Hadoop platform. Recommended both short-term and long-term changes to achieve immediate and strategic results.

The assessment focused on making recommendations to optimize the environment through analysis of key areas such as People, Processes and Technology.

Recommendations included detailed architectural framework for On-Premise/Hybrid Cloud Based implementations, Enterprise Data Lake, and a base framework to establish a Data Science Practice at the Bank.
